Two men have died following a collision on the south side of Glasgow city. The two men were travelling in a Honda Civic when they collided with a hackney cab.

The car hit a tree immediately following the collision and the taxi crashed into a fence nearby. The driver of the Honda was 23 years old and his passenger was 25.

The taxi driver remained uninjured; his passenger experienced minor injuries and was taken to Southern General Hospital.

Glasgow Police Say It Is A Busy Junction Where Car Accident Happened

Speaking on behalf of the police, Sergeant Jo McPherson, part of the divisional road policing unit said: “Although this crash happened in the early hours of this morning, this is a busy junction and I am sure there would have been a number of other vehicles on the road who saw what happened.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward in relation to the road traffic accident.
