An accident in Cornwall involving a car and lorry has resulted in the death of two people reports say.

The accident, happened at approximately 10 pm in the evening on the A30 in Penzance. Following the collision there was a fire and the road had to be closed by Devon and Cornwall Police..

Accident Victims Were In The Car

The two fatal accident victims were both travelling in the car identified as a Citroen Saxo. The lorry driver HGV did not have any major injuries and suffered only cuts and bruises.

A BBC report which was published following the crash and at that time there had been no formal identification of the two bodies but families had been informed of the deceased.

Police are still keen to speak to other people who may know something about the accident.
